Homemade Face Masks

I’ve always loved to make my own face masks as they are really  easy to make and it’s a sure way to know that you aren’t putting anything too nasty on your face. And it’s so much cheaper !

So here are a few recipes I like to use :

  • To soothe

Whip a tablespoon of coconut oil with a tablespoon of honey. Apply to skin and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

  • To nourish

Mash 1/2 a banana and mix with a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply to skin and leave for 15 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

  • To glow

Mix a tablespoon of tomato juice with a tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

another recipe: Mix 3 strawberries with a tablespoon of yogurt and a tablespoon of honey.

  • To combat aging

Mix one tablespoon of honey with one tablespoon of orange juice and one tablespoon of olive oil. Apply to skin and leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with warn water.

  • To detoxify

Mix half a teaspoon of spirulina with a tablespoon of honey and 1/2 a banana. Apply to skin an leave for 10 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

  • To do everything

Mash 1/2 an avocado. Mix with with a tablespoon of honey, a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, a tablespoon of lemon juice. Apply to skin and leave for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

I love these masks but make sure they agree with your skin as some of the ingredients can be too active !
